LAVANOX-Serag® wound gel and wound spray gel are used for moisturising, cleansing and mechanical decontamination of acute and chronic wounds. They support autolytic wound cleansing and help to prevent infections. LAVANOX-Serag® hydrogels are very well suited for moisturisation and promote physiological healing conditions through effective cleansing.
LAVANOX-Serag® Wound Spray Gel is excellently suited for the rapid covering of large-area wounds due to its spray head. It can be applied easily and quickly and remains in the wound as a hydrogel.
Before the first application and at every dressing change, the wound should first be cleaned with LAVANOX-Serag® Wound Irrigation Solution or LAVANOX-Serag® Wound Spray. LAVANOX-Serag® wound gels can be applied several times a day to the affected areas and used in combination with compresses, plasters and other dressings. There is no restriction on the duration and frequency of application.
Shake the bottle of LAVANOX-Serag® Wound Spray Gel well before use, then spray the gel on with several bursts from a short distance. Immediately afterwards the solution solidifies and becomes a well adhering hydrogel.
The LAVANOX-Serag® wound gel in the tube can be applied evenly in the wound area, e.g. with the help of a sterile spatula. Due to its outstanding viscosity, LAVANOX-Serag® Wound Gel adheres well and keeps the wound environment moist for a long time.
