The needle has an extra sharp lancet grind, which reduces puncture pain. The cannula itself is made of stainless steel and offers an optimal balance between stability and flexibility. All Ambu Neuroline concentric needles feature a colour-coded needle holder with a tactile index marker indicating the ground side of the needle.
